Join Sarah Louise and Benjamin Korta for an evening of Sound Visioning. Using channeled vocals, harp, flute, finger-style guitar, shruti box and bells, they will create a caring musical space in which to unwind and relax. From this place of presence, song can offer visions and clarity. After releasing a string of albums called “Mystical” by the New York Times and “In tune with the Thrust of existence” by NPR, Sarah Louise took a break from recording and performing to be in deeper practice with music’s ability to connect us with each other and our sacred planet. Through listening to her body as a part of the Earth and through daily relationship-building with plant spirits, ancestors, stones and bodies of water, a steady stream of song in a vibrational language began to emerge. This embodied style of singing helps her enter into visionary states and has helped her heal her nervous system and energy body. In addition to his music-making, Benjamin Korta is a visual artist and somatic movement educator/therapist (SMT/E) living and working in Asheville, NC. His experiments in image, sound, voice and movement seek to create a living sanctuary for embodied visionary experience. Together, Sarah and Ben listen to each other, place and the relational field created by everyone’s presence to provide supportive, connective sounds.
