How To Set Healthy Boundaries: Your Mandala
Are there people in your life that ask too much, that behave in ways that don't feel good to you? Do you find it challenging to say "NO"? Are you worried that if you turn down an invitation or back out of plans that you’ll let everyone down? Are you confused about the best ways to talk about your needs? Worried about how to set limits with family as you head into the holidays? Do you find yourself often feeling resentment toward others but saying nothing?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, it’s time for you to get some support in setting healthy, life-affirming boundaries that will improve the quality of your life, and paradoxically, improve your relationships, too!
Every living being in the natural world, every plant and animal, has instinctive and well understood ways of seeking to get their essential needs met and protecting themselves from potential harm. As humans, we need to reclaim the importance of honoring our own needs and limits and let go of the ways we have learned NOT to do so. We all need to be able to set boundaries about how we spend our time, who we spend it with, and the ways we interact with others. Many of us were not taught how to prioritize our needs. I can support you in learning these valuable life lessons! Many people need help figuring out what boundaries are best for them and how to effectively communicate and uphold those boundaries with the people in their lives (including family members, partners, work colleagues, bosses, etc.). By helping others in these situations I have developed highly effective, easy to learn lessons that help us to do this important work.
In this hands-on, participatory workshop you will learn information to help you:
*Understand what your needs are
*Develop appreciation for the importance of prioritizing yourself
*How to be in balance in meeting your needs while supporting and honoring others’ needs, too
*Learn helpful ways to express your needs to others (including precise language to use!)
*Deal with any backlash or pushback from setting boundaries
*Explore making difficult decisions about relationships with family
During our time together we will also use the beauty of the mandala to explore a creative, hands-on process that will help you begin your boundary setting work while in the supportive context of the workshop. You are guaranteed to walk away with new-to-you useful tools, practices, language, and self-care practices to help you reclaim your time and energy.
To register for this afternoon workshop, please send payment via Venmo to @Justina-Prenatt or PayPal: paypal.me/justinaprenatt (choose "friends and family" payment option)

Tending Grief in Troubled Times w/ Justina Prenatt
Tending Grief in Troubled Times
6 session, in-person healing gathering
Wednesday evenings October 8 - November 19 (skip 10/29)
5:30 - 7:30pm
(Please see registration details at bottom of description.)
We live in troubled times in which many of us can’t bear to read another horrible headline. We mourn for the Earth, our neighbors, victims of violence and oppression, and for ourselves and our families. You likely have also experienced some sort of personal loss: death of a loved one, relationship ending, financial fear, and the loss of a sense of security while upheaval happens all around us.
Yet, in our culture, we are expected to muster on despite the pain we feel about great hardship and loss in the world. These losses are real and impactful, and there are healthy, adaptive ways of tending to personal and collective grief in order to remain healthy and strong. When we intentionally honor grief we are better able to take care of ourselves and our loved ones, and carry on with life with hope of helping to create a more beautiful world.
If you’ve struggled with overwhelm, depression, shock, or hopelessness (all manifestations of untended grief)) when facing everything in your personal life AND the intensity of what’s happening in the world around us, you need and deserve support and care to help you heal. I invite you to join me for a 6-week, in person, grief tending and healing group.
In this community grief work experience you will:
*Be witnessed, honored, and validated in your grief
*Engage your creative side to express grief through writing, art, music, and ritual
*Be held as part of a caring community and get out of isolation
*Learn about the multifaceted nature of normal and healthy grief
*Learn practices for tending to your own grief
*Learn to support others who are grieving
*Connect with valuable resources to support you in your grief healing process
*Deepen your capacity for grief, which will deepen your capacity for experiencing gratitude and joy
This series will be facilitated by Justina Prenatt, a deeply compassion based therapist who has supported the community in grief work and healing from bereavement and loss for over 12 years. Justina is also a poet, priestess, and spirit-led activist who deftly combines practical, evidence-based healing approaches with grounded yet powerful ways of connecting with the wisdom and energies of the natural world.
This group healing series is being offered with a sliding scale payment option. Pay in full for the 6-week series $240 - $480, or choose the weekly payment option $40 - $80 for each weekly session. Lower end sliding scale is to make the group accessible to as many people as possible. Please pay at a lower level if you have significant financial limitations, and choose a higher level on the sliding scale based on your ability to support this important work and the facilitator. Thank you.
To register for this group healing series, please send payment via Venmo to @Justina-Prenatt or PayPal: paypal.me/justinaprenatt (choose "friends and family" payment option)
Choose your rate on sliding scale then send payment for the full session ($240-$480) or you can choose to pay weekly by sending payment for week 1 ($40-$80).

Self-Care Sound Healing Group Session w/ Whitley
Hello, I’m Whitley D. English, the founder of WNC GEMS (Generating Empowerment through Mindful Solutions). As a community health worker specializing in violence prevention, and a holistic wellness facilitator, my journey has been deeply shaped by my own experiences.
WNC GEMS was born out of my personal near-death experience with intimate partner violence. As a survivor, I have become a passionate advocate for others, tirelessly working to support our community in creating a better quality of life for all.
In these sound healing sessions, I invite you to take a moment for yourself, to reset and restore. I will guide you through a peaceful meditation using frosted crystal quartz bowls, allowing their soothing vibrations to support your well-being. You will also have the opportunity to enhance your experience with high-vibe essential oils and select an oracle card to further support your personal journey.
I offer these sessions with a suggested $25 donation, which can be made through Cash App, PayPal, or cash. However, please know that no one will be turned away due to financial constraints. My intention is for everyone to be able to relax, reset, and honor themselves. Come as you are, and allow yourself to reconnect, recharge, and nurture your nervous system. You deserve it.

Appalachian Healing Collective
Healing happens whether we are offering it or receiving it!
Join us for these special events in which we gather and focus our healing intentions and modalities on one or two people at a time within a group dynamic/intelligence. Whether you offer instrumental sound, reiki, laying of the hands, song, voice/mantra/affirmations, or simply presence–you are the gift of healing someone needs or even requests! And in turn, you will receive what you need from the menagerie of gifts that appear for a minimum of twenty minutes.
As healers, many of us loveLoveLOVE to offer our gifts. Oftentimes, we don’t get or think to receive in turn. This is a profound opportunity to do both, while sinking/synching into sound, community, presence, and the ultimate unraveling of the Unknown!
We have instruments that you are welcome to play such as crystal bowls, drums, handpans, rainsticks, etc. We end with fellowship over food. We ask that you bring food to share if you’re inspired and it’s easy.
No previous healer/musical experience necessary.
Facilitated by Randi Janelle of Liminal Yoga and EarthHeart Healing and Wolfgang Ettenreich of The Luminous Now and Sound Voyagers.
Proceeds from today’s event go to support The Well, along with 20% going to support 12 Baskets!
Cheers,
Wolfgang & Randi

Tea At The Threshold
As the veil between seasons thins, join Chinese medicine practitioner and tea anthropologist Revy for a nourishing evening of tea, reflection, and ritual. Revy will share practical tips for attuning to the Metal season of autumn according to the ancient wisdom of Chinese medicine. This is an opportunity to step into the slowing rhythm of autumn and pause for warmth, stillness, and connection. The evening will include a gentle ritual for releasing what is no longer of value, so feel free to bring a journal.

Cultivating Hope To Survive (Thrive!) and Serve in Turbulent Times
Cultivating Hope to Survive (Thrive!) & Serve in Turbulent Times
1-time in-person inspirational workshop
(Please see registration details at bottom of description.)
Our community was recently and heartbreakingly bereaved by the loss of a beautiful, very young woman who chose to end her own life. As I tended to the grief felt by the loved ones of this bright light of a young woman, so full of potential, I knew I had to do everything that I could to prevent another precious soul from feeling so lost and hopeless that they, too, might choose to give up. I offer this workshop on Cultivating Hope in honor of the life of this cherished young woman.
The concept of HOPE has been much discussed. It’s been used in political slogan, been disparaged as an antidote to taking action, and has been used as a platitude to placate when active change is crucially necessary. HOPE, however, is necessary to our fruitful survival. Hope is vital to human healing and well-being. Hope is also an essential ingredient in the process of successful changemaking.
When people lose hope, they lose motivation and succumb to despair. In the painful depths of despair, people suffer depression and become unable to show up for life's responsibilities, including taking care of self and family. For that same reason unfettered despair also becomes a significant barrier to creating positive change on the cultural level.
It can feel difficult to feel hopeful when it seems like everything is going wrong. When it’s not clear what the next helpful step is, how to move towards a solution, hopelessness can creep in. We are living in times in which, if one does not have an active practice to cultivate hope, we will easily become drained of hope, dispirited, and depleted. Yet, we need hope, perhaps more now than ever. We need to feel hope in our hearts, as individuals, to strengthen and motivate us, to help us know there is good reason for all of our hard work and efforts. And as a society, we must maintain hope for the future, so that we can build that future we long to see.
If you have been feeling hopeless, or seeing others in your life succumb to hopelessness, let me give you good news… HOPE CAN BE CULTIVATED! There are real life practical actions and changes to how we behave that can help us maintain and even build hope, and can help us spread hope to others who have lost grasp of this most essential life saver.
Join me for an afternoon in which we will bravely acknowledge the true challenges we face amidst massive environmental, social, economic, and political upheaval, while we will also choose and learn how to stay strong, stalwart, and hopeful in the face of these troubles.
In this workshop we will learn:
*Practical, doable, daily strategies to protect our hearts & minds from hopelessness
*Active practices that actually build & strengthen HOPE
*To understand HOPE as an EMOTION as well as an ACTION
*The differences between GRIEF & DESPAIR + how grief work can actually help us to feel HOPE
*The science & felt sense of GRATITUDE & its role in traditional culture
*How to incorporate GRATITUDE without dismissing the importance of big problems or falling into cliché
*The science on the relationship among hope, a sense of agency, and suicidality
*The important legacy that Holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl offered with the world
*Doable strategies for creating a more beautiful world NOW
*How to support loved ones in staying connected to HOPE, especially those who you worry about the most
If you long to be an agent of positive change, to live a healthy and meaningful life, to achieve your goals, whether personal or planetary, you need to protect and cultivate hope in all your ways of being. Let’s work on this together and heal our world, starting with the one person you have the most power to impact - YOURSELF.
Plus, I will provide tea and snacks. ❤︎

6 session, in-person healing gathering

Thank you.
