Sonic Sanctuary: A multi-instrumental Sound Healing Journey with Kennedy Oneself

A multi-instrumental Sound Healing Journey with Kennedy Oneself

Tickets: $35 for one person or $50 for two. Available here.

Step into an immersive field of vibration—lie down, close your eyes, and journey inward.

An acoustic symphony of living sound unfolds through harps, handpans, didgeridoos, flutes, singing bowls, gongs, and rare world instruments. Each sound opens a doorway into a new inner landscape. These carefully layered frequencies create a deeply relaxing sensory experience designed to quiet the mind and invite stillness.

Through fluid transitions and masterful layering, Kennedy’s performances often leave participants amazed, as if an unseen ensemble is performing around them. The entire space becomes filled with a richly textured sonic environment. During the journey you may hear:

• Didgeridoos that rumble through the body
• RAV Vast handpan tones that shimmer with resonant warmth
• Guzheng (Asian harp) with cascading, dreamlike melodies
• Gongs sending powerful waves through the space
• Flutes from Chinese, Indian, American, and drone traditions
• Shruti box & tanpura creating continuous rivers of sound
• Crystal and metal singing bowls
• Tibetan bells, kalimba, ocean drum, rainstick, tubalophone, metallophone, monochord, and more

Participants simply lie down, relax, and allow the sounds to guide them into a deeply restorative meditative state.

Wyrding Women’s Rhythmic Immersion: Frame Drum for Beginners and Beyond with Brandi Mizilca

Wyrding Women's Rhythmic Immersion

Frame Drumming for Beginners and Beyond

with Brandi Mizilca

Come learn the fundamentals of frame drumming with long time professional dancer, drummer, musician, artist, and healing arts practitioner, Brandi Mizilca.

Rhythm is the sacred pulse that animates our bodies, our societies, our planet, and the cosmos beyond.

Drumming is an ancient technology for tapping into that sacred pulse to cultivate harmonious communities, connect with divinity, and calm or catalyze our hearts and minds. Drumming provides structure and support for melodies and excites our bodies to dance. Drumming is the intersection of math and magic and exquisitely lights up both sides of our brains. In these classes, we will immerse ourselves in rhythm in all these ways and more, utilizing our bodies, our voices, and instruments.

This class is for female and female-identifying humans for the sake of exploring the art of playing frame drums, regulating our inner rhythms, and liberating our voices in all the ways we may need to do. You are invited to break centuries of silence by making beautiful,

bold sound with other wyrding women at The Well.

To enroll, please contact Brandi Mizilca at karunacaravan@gmail.com

Brandi Mizilca is a lifelong lover and student of music, dance, art, ritual, and immersion in the natural world. Her curious nature has taken her down many paths of learning and her creative impetus is perpetually to weave these passions together. Her professional experiences include being a dancer, musician, Alaskan wilderness guide, commercial organic farmer, gallery-featured painter, published writer, yoga and dance instructor, festival and workshop organizer, graphic artist, videographer, and a licensed massage therapist. In the late 90's, after spending five years in Alaska, she lived and studied at Touchstone Farm, a sacred movement community and flower/herb farm in Massachusetts; and, her liberal arts studies at Vermont College were centered around tracking the cross-cultural evolution of sacred movement practices over thousands of years of human history.

Upon moving to North Carolina in 1999 to live at Earthaven Ecovillage, Brandi Mizilca became an integral part of the world music and dance community of Asheville. She has taught and performed locally and throughout the US in various ensembles as both a dancer and musician, especially in the artistic traditions of the Mediterranean, Middle East, and North Africa. For over twenty years she performed regularly at Jerusalem Garden Cafe in downtown Asheville as both a dancer and musician. She has been performing percussive music from south central Africa with Chikomo Marimba for the past eight years and has been religiously studying frame drum, darbuka, and tambourine with River Guerguerian since the early 2000's, as well as with other instructors. She works in various capacities with the local organization, Asheville Rhythm, whose mission is to foster connection for players of diverse backgrounds and skill levels through drumming, in partnership with expert local and guest instructors. Her goal as a teacher is to joyfully offer keys for understanding music via many lenses so that her students can find their way into the structure of pulse and sound and empower the music within them to find its way out. These classes will explore percussion from both sides of the brain and the use of rhythm as a mechanism of music as well as a technology for expanding consciousness and cultivating connection.

Men's Transformational Breathwork with Banks Anderson
May

Men's Transformational Breathwork with Banks Anderson

**We will now be having Breathwork at The Well in West Asheville**

We call this a coming home to ourselves.

We gather in honor of giving way for our humanity. Men are faced with the unachievable pressures of assuming perfection in the realms of work and finances, emotions, fatherhood, and in relationship. Trying to embrace the "perfect" form of what it means to be a man only enables a broken system.

Here we learn to welcome our fallibilities, our shame, our mistakes, our grief, our shadows, and so on... while celebrating in our victories. We turn towards our whole system that gives us the ability to inhabit our authenticity, rather than deny it.We do this together. No more suffering in silence.

This breath practice is used as a way to move through an experience together and overcome challenges, to strengthen and deepen the ties of brotherhood in our community.

This practice has been adapted specifically for the gathering of men, to inspire the warrior within us to create and hold a container for the softness within our hearts. We believe the truth of a healthy warrior lies in his ability to deeply feel and experience suffering as well as the beauty in life, therefore being crystal clear on what he stands for and what he protects.

We will arrive together, create a group organism, use poetry as a medium to deepen into ourselves, experience the practice, and have an integration circle following.

To get more out of the breathwork practice it is recommended to not eat at least an hour and a half beforehand. Food is welcome during our integration circle. If you have asthma or specific heart conditions please reach out to Banks before joining. There will be light snacks provided to support grounding after the experience.

Your Guide:

Banks Anderson is a gifted facilitator specializing in breathwork, men’s work, and bodywork. Growing up around an immensity of suffering in men while also experiencing his own rock bottom with nowhere to turn, a fire was lit in Banks to find another way. After founding a local men’s movement in the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina, he is now expanding his impact to our greater community. With years of experience guiding men toward greater integrity, connection, and honesty, Banks brings a unique blend of wisdom, vulnerability, and strength to his work that creates a container to help men descend into their depths and return with their true nature intact. Banks’ prayer is to support men with their attachment and development while weaving them back into a life of soul.

==========================================

IMPORTANT: Please arrive on time! Doors close at 15 minutes after event start time. Bring a cushion to sit on.
Payment: Sliding scale of $20-60
Please Venmo: @banksanderson87 to secure your spot.

ENM Community Gathering

ENM Community Gathering

A Community Gathering*

*For people that identify as ENM.

(Ethically Non-Monogamous).

This gathering is for building community, getting relationship support, and learning more about ENM, Polyamory, and Relationship Anarchy.

WNC Polyamorous and ENM is an Asheville based community dedicated to normalizing Ethical Non-Monogamy by creating a strong community, supporting each other’s personal growth, and sharing knowledge and experiences with each other.

This event is open to the public, but we request that anyone in attendance be ENM, considering ENM, or in a relationship with someone that is ENM. *Bringing a friend or family member with you (who is not ENM) with the intention of normalizing it, is allowed.

This group does our best to offer non- judgmental support and advice for those navigating this journey. There are no experts here with the “right” answer. What we offer is simply the benefit of our personal experiences and combined knowledge.

We facilitate a variety of events through out the year to help build connections and friendships.

*Please note that this environment is meant to be a safe space to learn about ENM and to build community, not a dating event. That being said, we do encourage organically formed relationships of all kinds, with enthusiastic consent of course.

With Kindness,

    Jennifer Evelyn

✨ Star Sounds: A Sound Healing Journey with David Heiss

An immersive experience of Astrology & Sound Alchemy

Register here.

Step into an evening where cosmic intelligence meets vibrational healing.

We begin with a grounded yet intuitive transmission of the current astrological landscape—translating what’s happening in the sky into real guidance for navigating your life right now.

From there, you’ll be guided into a deep, multidimensional sound journey.

Surrounded by the resonance of multiple gongs, crystal and Tibetan bowls, handpan, and other harmonic instruments, your body becomes the receiver… and the field begins to shift.

This is not just something you hear—

it’s something you feel, something you enter.

🔊 The Experience

As the gong waves move through you:

  • The nervous system begins to downshift and unwind

  • The mind softens, releasing control

  • The body opens into deep cellular resonance

  • Stagnant energy begins to move, release, and reorganize

Many describe the experience as entering a dreamlike, timeless state

where insight, emotion, and clarity arise naturally from within.

The sound doesn’t guide you somewhere else…

it brings you deeper into yourself.

🌌 Why This Now

2026 is not a passive year—it’s a threshold.

We are being asked to trust ourselves at a deeper level, to move without certainty, and to listen inward more than ever before.

Sound—especially the gong—has a unique ability to bypass the thinking mind and reconnect you with your own internal guidance system.

This journey is an opportunity to:

  • Reset your energetic field

  • Reconnect with your intuition

  • Realign with your inner rhythm

MONDAYS, 12:30pm – 2pm

March 23 – April 27, 2026

Six class series $120/ person. There must be a minimum of ten enrollees for this series to run.

To enroll, please contact Brandi Mizilca at karunacaravan@gmail.com

If you do not own a finger-style frame drum (which is played differently from a frame drum that is played with a mallet, stick, or tipper), please contact Brandi Mizilca at karunacaravan@gmail.com and she will provide one for you to play while at class.

Appalachian Healing Collective

Healing happens whether we are offering it or receiving it!

Join us for these special events in which we gather and focus our healing intentions and modalities on one or two people at a time within a group dynamic/intelligence. Whether you offer instrumental sound, reiki, laying of the hands, song, voice/mantra/affirmations, or simply presence–you are the gift of healing someone needs or even requests! And in turn, you will receive what you need from the menagerie of gifts that appear for a minimum of twenty minutes.

As healers, many of us loveLoveLOVE to offer our gifts. Oftentimes, we don’t get or think to receive in turn. This is a profound opportunity to do both, while sinking/synching into sound, community, presence, and the ultimate unraveling of the Unknown!

We have instruments that you are welcome to play such as crystal bowls, drums, handpans, rainsticks, etc. We end with fellowship over food. We ask that you bring food to share if you’re inspired and it’s easy.

No previous healer/musical experience necessary.

We ask for a sliding scale donation of $25-$50.

Facilitated by Randi Janelle of Liminal Yoga and EarthHeart Healing and Wolfgang Ettenreich of The Luminous Now and Sound Voyagers.

Cheers,

Wolfgang & Randi

SANCTUARY — The Vibration of Autumn–Sacred Sound Journey with Mark Biehl

SANCTUARY–The Vibration of Autumn–Sacred Sound Journey with Mark Biehl
Mark Biehl presents a unique sound blessing ceremony to welcome the season of Fall, and inspire us to gracefully move through our own seasonal process by letting go of what no longer serves us and embracing change. Allow the deep vibrational energies of over twenty beautifully tuned Himalayan singing bowls, indigenous flutes, medicine drumming, rattles and shakers, gongs, chimes and vocal mantra to guide us through clearing and release, as we plant seeds to begin a new path of personal growth and transformation.

Autumn begins the onset of shorter days, the harvesting of crops, and a time to prepare for the winter ahead. The element of metal that represents autumn, is found abundantly in singing bowls from the Himalayas, and is a symbol of refinement and inner strength. The season of Fall encourages us to make use of everything that is necessary and pure, and to eliminate those things or qualities that are wasteful and no longer necessary.

"Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go."

Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, and eye covering (optional). Dress comfortably and bring some water to drink. It's preferable not to eat for an hour prior.

**Space is limited–Register early to secure your spot!

Bio:

Mark Biehl, CVSC, LSHC lifelong musician and composer, is the founder of Acuity Soundworks®, dedicated to the development and presentation of music and sound to inspire creative thought and action. Mark is a Certified Vibrational Sound Coach and Licensed Spiritual Health Coach. He has received training in Primordial Sound Meditation, Traditional Shamanic Sound Practices with Zacciah Blackburn of the Center of Light Institute, and Certification in Sound Healing with Himalayan Singing Bowls from Nepalese Master Teacher Suren Shrestha. He has over twenty years’ experience in sound healing, and offers both private and group sound sessions. Mark believes in the idea that sound creates a gateway into deeper levels of consciousness, the heart, and soul. As a result, he utilizes various sound tools and the voice in conjunction with his spiritual health coaching skills and positive intention to gently support beneficial shifts in our perspective on life.

Mark's Sanctuary Sound Journey program is a deeply relaxing and mentally uplifting experience featuring the sounds and vibrations of over twenty Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, indigenous flutes, drumming and the voice. His program also includes various breathing techniques designed to bring participants into a more focused and balanced state, and guided readings featuring topics that encourage mindfulness and provide inspiration. Sanctuary is intended to take participants deep into stillness of mind, body and spirit. The breathwork and guided meditation work as a kind of staircase leading everyone into a progressively more relaxed state, culminating in a lengthy sound immersion with Tibetan singing bowls, melodic and percussive instruments, mantra chant and ambient atmospheres.

Community Kirtan and Song Circle

Join Us for a Community Kirtan and Song Circle!

Experience the joy and connection of kirtan, a heart-centered gathering where we come together to sing devotional chants in a call-and-response format. Rooted in ancient traditions, kirtan uses the power of music and mantra to quiet the mind, uplift the spirit, and create a sense of unity.

Accompanied by instruments like the harmonium, drums, and guitar, we’ll share an evening of soulful melodies and shared energy. Open to everyone, regardless of musical experience or spiritual background, this event offers a welcoming space to connect, reflect, and let the power of sound open your heart. Come as you are—leave feeling refreshed and inspired.  Bring a song or mantra to share!

Kink & Draw #4 Spring Doodle (18+ only)

Kink&Draw #4
Come perv with a purpose and make ART together!

We had a packed house last month and many of you asked for another soon, so here it is: Saturday, April 25th 6:30>9:30pm.

Ticket link and lineup TBA

ABOUT
Munches and play parties are great, but what about getting sketchy in a whole new way?

Never drawn a thing? Perfect! Everyone's welcome and we'll have a brief 101 primer to gestural figure drawing at the beginning of the event.

There is no right way to draw. No materials? We gotcha, and will provide crayons, charcoal, pastels, graphite and large format newsprint so you can have space to express what you see and feel.

LINEUP
Our featured models (TBA) will collaborate to create 4 dynamic BD/sM scenes for you to observe & sketch. Feel free to gift them one of your works. Tips are always appreciated and go directly to the models; standing still for minutes on end is hard work :)

PROGRAM
We'll start with a 2 minute sketch -- literally broad strokes -- to get a sense of shapes and planes, then move on to 4 and 8 minute sessions to develop shading and detail, ending up with a 12 minute finale to put it all together.

Once that's complete, everyone is welcome to share comments about their experience and then lay their work out (or not) and we can mingle and appreciate the results together.

DEETS
We celebrate diversity in all its forms, including different identities, orientations, and abilities. This vetted event is alcohol/substance-free and intended to foster a safer, consensual, affirming container for all attendees.

No photography or videography will be allowed, with the exception of event/artwork documentation by the event host (which will be available to you). You and your artwork are free to opt out of this.

There is the potential for nudity and erotic activity, though it will be specifically limited to consensual interaction exclusively between the models. Any illicit, non-consensual or predatory behavior will not be tolerated.

No refunds will be issued for late arrivals (container closed promptly at 6:55pm). This is a private event, and by attending, you consent to these policies.
Parking is plentiful, there is a all-gender bathroom on premises and access is available for people with disabilities.

SCHEDULE
Doors open 6:30pm
Warm-up and Drawing 101 primer 7pm
Container closed and sketching sessions begin 7:15, with breaks between for questions, bio-breaks, and sips&snacks.

Wrap-up, shares, meet the models and artwork on display (no pressure) 8:45
End of event 9:30pm

TICKETS
$20 covers class fee, art materials, snacks&sips and a good time.

Eventbrite ticket link TBA

NOTE
This is an 18-and-over, limited capacity, vetted event - advance tickets only, meaning none sold at the door.

See you there,
XoX Pagan (CoachKink on Fet; he/they)

Surreal Sirkus Salon & Dance Party (feat DJ Dave Reyn)

It is time once again for the Surreal Sirkus Salon!!!
And this time we're following it up with a dance party featuring dj Dave Reyn

The Sirkus Salon hearkens back to the 1920s and 30s when André Breton would host informal gatherings at his Paris studio for fellow surrealists to explore techniques of automatic writing and art such as the Exquisite Corpse.

In that spirit, Surreal Sirkus invites you to bring a performance, game, or activity to share.

Salon starts at 7. Dance party starts at 9:30 with house music by Dave Reyn (https://www.mixcloud.com/david-rain/)

Suggested donation $10-30, but no one turned away for lack of funds!

Fundamentals of Bellydance

Take Up Space in March!

This month we are focusing on traveling, open arm, swoopy hips and welcoming spring with big-hearted energy! Come get some party dance moves. Drop-in and beginner student friendly.

What we know here as “bellydance” is based in a wide variety of cultural art forms, that share some common aspects.  Internal movement, isolations, smooth travel, hip articulation and fluidity are some of these aspects.  Come find where this movement art moves you, and free your hips to shimmy and your arms to flow.  Lift your heart and breathe deep.  We will explore dancing as part of a full life and connect you to a joyful artform.
