Men's Transformational Breathwork with Banks Anderson

**We will now be having Breathwork at The Well in West Asheville**

We call this a coming home to ourselves.

We gather in honor of giving way for our humanity. Men are faced with the unachievable pressures of assuming perfection in the realms of work and finances, emotions, fatherhood, and in relationship. Trying to embrace the "perfect" form of what it means to be a man only enables a broken system.

Here we learn to welcome our fallibilities, our shame, our mistakes, our grief, our shadows, and so on... while celebrating in our victories. We turn towards our whole system that gives us the ability to inhabit our authenticity, rather than deny it.We do this together. No more suffering in silence.

This breath practice is used as a way to move through an experience together and overcome challenges, to strengthen and deepen the ties of brotherhood in our community.

This practice has been adapted specifically for the gathering of men, to inspire the warrior within us to create and hold a container for the softness within our hearts. We believe the truth of a healthy warrior lies in his ability to deeply feel and experience suffering as well as the beauty in life, therefore being crystal clear on what he stands for and what he protects.

We will arrive together, create a group organism, use poetry as a medium to deepen into ourselves, experience the practice, and have an integration circle following.

To get more out of the breathwork practice it is recommended to not eat at least an hour and a half beforehand. Food is welcome during our integration circle. If you have asthma or specific heart conditions please reach out to Banks before joining. There will be light snacks provided to support grounding after the experience.

Appalachian Healing Collective

Healing happens whether we are offering it or receiving it!

Join us for these special events in which we gather and focus our healing intentions and modalities on one or two people at a time within a group dynamic/intelligence. Whether you offer instrumental sound, reiki, laying of the hands, song, voice/mantra/affirmations, or simply presence–you are the gift of healing someone needs or even requests! And in turn, you will receive what you need from the menagerie of gifts that appear for a minimum of twenty minutes.

As healers, many of us loveLoveLOVE to offer our gifts. Oftentimes, we don’t get or think to receive in turn. This is a profound opportunity to do both, while sinking/synching into sound, community, presence, and the ultimate unraveling of the Unknown!

We have instruments that you are welcome to play such as crystal bowls, drums, handpans, rainsticks, etc. We end with fellowship over food. We ask that you bring food to share if you’re inspired and it’s easy.

No previous healer/musical experience necessary.

We ask for a sliding scale donation of $25-$50.

Facilitated by Randi Janelle of Liminal Yoga and EarthHeart Healing and Wolfgang Ettenreich of The Luminous Now and Sound Voyagers.

Cheers,

Wolfgang & Randi

Birth of Love: Co-Creating with Saturn & Neptune at 0° Aries

Birth of Love: Co-Creating with Saturn & Neptune at 0° Aries

A 3-hour Experiential Astrology Workshop to meet a rare threshold w/ intent, discernment, & action.

Something is ending. Something is beginning. Your action decides what comes next.

This 3-hour, in-person experiential workshop is for people who sense that this moment in history isn’t theoretical—and that waiting on the sidelines is no longer neutral.

On February 20, 2026, Saturn and Neptune meet at 0° Aries, the ignition point of the zodiac. It’s a rare threshold where vision, compassion, and imagination (Neptune) must find form, commitment, and direction (Saturn). This conjunction doesn’t ask what you believe—it asks what you are willing to bring into being.

Why this workshop? Why now?
Because love doesn’t get born by good intentions alone. It takes courage, participation, and form—especially in times of upheaval.

We’ll step into an ancient myth as a practical, lived framework and engage the archetypal forces shaping this moment—creation and repression, courage and sacrifice, loss and birth—through embodiment, creative expression, and direct engagement with the archetypes themselves. This is not about understanding the symbols. It’s about stepping into them.

It is a guided, experiential gathering designed to help you engage this threshold consciously.

You’ll leave having crafted a personal relationship with the planets, the ability to anchor intention into action—something you can return to as the Saturn–Neptune cycle unfolds and choices continue to matter.

No astrology background required—only a willingness to participate and act from the heart.

February 22, 2026 1:00pm-4:00pm ET

Sliding Scale Exchange: $33-$50

Introduction to Synthesis w/ James Genaro (Three-part series)

Register here.

Have you ever wanted to learn about synthesizers but felt intimidated? Or wished you could make your own electronic music but don’t know where to start?

The Well and Arts 2 People are hosting a three week course that will teach you the basics of synthesis with plenty of opportunities for hands-on practice.

We will cover topics including:

Overview of different types of synthesizers, including hardware, software, and modular instruments
Oscillators, samplers, and wavetables
Harmonic series, waveforms, and the physics of sound
Filters
Envelopes
Modulation
Effects
Sequencers and arpeggiators
Integrating synths into DAW’s (Digital Audio Workstations)

The cost for all three classes is $30. You can also drop in for a single class for $15, although each session will build on the material from the previous sessions, so we encourage you to come for all three.

No previous experience is required, and all students will get to spend time on a variety of hardware and software synthesizers.

About the Instructor

James Genaro has more than 25 years of experience as a synthesist and music producer. He holds a music degree from UNCA and worked at Moog Music for over ten years, the last half of it giving tours, demos and workshops at the former factory in downtown Asheville.

Under the name Logos, he has produced seven albums of original music that blends electronic dance music with world music, classical, and rock influences. And he writes music and performs with the multi-disciplinary performance art ensemble Surreal Sirkus, which he cofounded back in the late 1990s.

James currently is the co-owner, with his wife Karen, of The Well, an event space and store in West Asheville that features a synthesizer lab where anyone can come and explore electronic musical instruments.
