Singing For Catharsis w/Saro Lynch-Thomason

Join us on Thursday evening, April 11th for Singing for Catharsis! In Northwestern European traditions, spring is a time for water cleansing and blessing, whether this means taking a hot bath with spring herbs, or washing one's face with the morning dew. In our time together, we will chant songs on the themes of water and cleansing. We will also reverently interact with water, with opportunities for ritual washing.

Feel free to bring snacks and drinks to share and enjoy during our breaks. You are asked to register and pay ahead of time in order to attend! More details below.

About Singing for Catharsis:

In this space, Saro Lynch-Thomason teaches easy-to-learn songs that we sing for extended periods of time to help us move into a place of catharsis/relaxation/oxytocin release/altered state that ritual chant has provided for countless people for thousands of years. After each song we take time to decompress and talk about our experiences. We will only explore a few songs, some for as long as an hour. Folks are welcome to take breaks during the songs if they need to.
